Albert Louis Patterson III

A. Louis Patterson III was born in San Bernardino, California to A. Louis Patterson Jr., and Melba Lorraine Simmons Patterson. He has three siblings - Anthony, Alan and Alette, one sister-in-love - Deidra Conrad Patterson and one nephew Aldan Lamar Patterson. A. Louis Patterson III grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from North Shore High School, he attended both Houston Baptist University and Texas Southern University. He attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the historic Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as a Chapel Assistant in the Martin Luther King Jr. International Ecumenical Chapel.

He accepted the call into the ministry in 1992 under the spiritual leadership of Pastor A. Louis Patterson Jr., and the Mount Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. His understanding of the biblical principle that a call to preach is a call for preparation led him to Dallas, Texas, where he studied at Dallas Theological Seminary. Pastor Patterson also continued to further his biblical education by participating in the study of homiletics and theology at the world renowned Regent's College at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
He formerly pastored the historic Sims Chapel Baptist Church in Garland, Texas, the first African-American Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. He was Pastor/Founder of the Love Church in Dallas, Texas, where they are loving the world with the word.

Pastor A. Louis Patterson III passed away on February 5, 2011 in Dallas, TX. Services will be held Saturday February 12, 2011 in Houston, TX. Visitation will begin at 8am. With Funeral Services starting at 10am. Services will be held at Mt. Corinth B.C. 4901 Providence St. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
